Please do try and come to help us put on a bit of a show, but most importantly the judges would like to meet you.
-------------
Behind the scenes
The wet drab spring we have just experienced was fantastic weather for slugs and unfortunately, they have caused extensive damage to our wildflower seedlings with the Churchyard and Bowles areas badly affected.
We are currently working on some ideas to overcome the issue, one which will require as many villagers being involved as possible.
Details will follow soon
Bedding has now been collected and we will be looking to plant out in the next couple of weeks.
-------------
The art mural for the bus shelter has been completed and we hope to unveil it soon. It's looking fantastic and will be worth the wait.
-------------
Paul our RHS advisor has again visited and was most impressed by our rapid progress and some suggestions were made and he will visit again just before judging.
-------------
The recent wet weather severely hampered our ability to get back onto the field and cut more Oak planks for the hall planters but hopefully, the next couple of weeks will see this completed.
There is still plenty of suitable wood left for firewood, as before if you require a load get in touch.
-------------
As Bloom is a year round commitment we have just been awarded 470 free tree saplings from the Woodland Trust. These will be planted to reform hedgerows at Home farm during November and December.
-------------
Our next get together is Saturday 27th May @ 10am in the village hall
