Location image

Currently, the bus stop is used once a week for the weekly service into Exeter and could offer so much more to the village given its central location and proposal’s include :

  • Tidying and reviewing the use and storage of the numerous chalk board notices.
  • Provide two hanging baskets in appropriate positions.
  • Provide planter either on or in front of railing.
  • Install water capture at the rear utilising the rain runoff from the roof.
  • Removal of notice board, possibly replace with horticultural themed mural on wall.
  • Provide bird boxes to external wall in appropriate location.

This saw the commencement of our first tasks to transform the bus stop, The fitting of 2 water butts to catch water from the roof was completed and the collected water will be used to maintain the baskets and planters planned for the area.

The numerous chalk sign boards were removed to storage elsewhere and the shelter given a much needed sweep out. The adjacent village signboard given some ‘TLC’ with a clean and a light sand ready for a protective coat of oil.
